Our Services

Take the controls and experience flight for yourself with a discovery flight, your first real taste of being a pilot. With a certified flight instructor by your side, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to flying, from basic maneuvers to the incredible feeling of lifting off the runway. No experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and get ready to see the world from a whole new perspective.
Price: $100 for 30 Min. If flight training is continued the $100 will be refunded at the completion of the second flight lesson.

My name is Justin Wetli, owner and lead CFI. I Graduated from UND with a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial aviation in 2025. My favorite part of instructing is stepping out of the plane and watching a student pilot fly on their own for the very first time. My goal is to help every pilot I fly with become the best version of themselves in the cockpit.

Meet Your Flight Instructor: Jeremy Alvarez

Hello! I’m Jeremy, a Certified Flight Instructor with Lakes Area Flight Instruction. I’ll be graduating from the University of North Dakota this summer (2026) with a degree in Commercial Aviation. Aviation has been my passion since I was five years old, and I’ve been lucky to fly everything from single- and multi-engine aircraft to tailwheel airplanes and even some aerobatics. My goal as your instructor is to help you grow into a confident, capable pilot, while making sure you genuinely enjoy every step of the journey!

Our Aircraft: Piper Cherokee 140

The Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee 140 earned its place in aviation through reliability, safety, and simplicity. It is the perfect aircraft to learn how to fly in! Our Piper Cherokee features a dual Garmin G5, GTN 650XI, an all leather interior and a clean paint job.
